7PM - 11.30PM (possibly extended to midnight, based on necessity)

Our Control Room Operators are detail-oriented professionals who are all about communication and reporting. Working in our control room, they both monitor for and receive information about faults and breakdowns within our facility, and create reports for managers and engineers on these issues. The part-time nature of these positions make them ideal for students, retired people and those with another part-time job.

Typical day-to-day activities include:

• Receiving information on system problems from the Operations team
• Monitoring for errors
• Logging all call details related to system issues
• Creating consolidated reports towards the end of the shift

What does it take to keep our sortation facilities running smoothly?

• Secondary school education
• Good computer skills, particularly MS Office – Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Reliability and attention to detail

SHIFT YOUR PURPOSE

This role is based in our Building and System Engineering department (UPS BaSE), an important area within UPS sortation facilities. Employees here monitor, manage and correct technical issues that the Operations team – sorters, drivers, loaders – bring to their attention. Each BaSE team is composed of five people working to keep our facility running at optimal capacity using the latest warehouse technologies. Together, they help us deliver what matters.
