The role drives analysis to make the right decisions to secure key apps, brands and content for all of Sky’s TV products (e.g. Netflix, Rai, RTL, Viacom), and Sky’s content and services distribution to 3rd parties (e.g. Virgin, Vodafone, Samsung)

What you’ll do:

• Drive analysis and recommendations for our content and distribution deals
• Work with analytics and research teams to understand customer viewing and behaviour data which helps to inform valuations and investment decisions
• Deliver valuations of the benefits to our DTH and streaming businesses of our content partnerships, in each territory
• Leverage market research to inform analyses as well as compile thoughtful post-mortem analysis for past and future content investments
• Collaborate and understand local content and commercial teams’ priorities and how they relate to our deals
• Prepare internal materials to cut through the clutter and make key decisions to execute our deals
• Prepare external materials to support negotiations and deliver brilliant commercial outcomes

What you’ll bring:

• Strong communicator, written and oral (including PowerPoint) – able to translate complex information to senior executives to understand performance, key challenges and input into decisions
• A challenging mind – questioning the conventional thinking in the sector and an ability to play ‘devil’s advocate’ in an environment of mainly trading-focused individuals. To be strong-minded under pressure in order to substantiate views that may fly in the face of that convention.
• Superb financial modelling skills and extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Deep understanding of content, local plans by territory and the value it brings to our customers
• Project management – able to plan and deliver to agreed schedule.
• Must have a clear and thorough understanding of all Sky TV’s product and service offerings.
• Relationship building - effectively communicating, establishing rapport and relating to others at all levels. Adept at networking, forming relationships across teams and territories
• You’ll likely have a background or experience in a TV strategy, insights/research, consultancy, or proposition role where a creative and analytical skillset are key
