A career in our Line of Service Financial Analysis practice, within Operations, will provide the opportunity to support our engagement teams and clients operationally by providing advice on accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business issues. In joining, you’ll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients, provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics, support engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives. You’ll develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.
Our team helps finance leaders better partner with internal and external stakeholders by providing insight into business performance and proactive decision support. You’ll focus on helping our clients simplify the identification of performance gaps, capitalise on the power of data driven decision making, and move towards a more cost effective way to do business.

What you'll create and do
Engagement Delivery
Work on engagements with multidisciplinary teams
Conduct organizational diagnostics on financial processes
Conduct analyses in support of process performance measurement and improvement initiatives (e.g. costing, cost-benefit, benchmarking)
Finance transformation (including within an ERP Cloud implementation)
Establish credibility with existing and new clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge in finance
Sustainable cost reduction and resource optimization projects
Vendor and software selection (including business requirements gathering)
Alternate delivery models analysis, design and optimization (such as Target Operating Model, shared services and outsourcing)
Engagement Management
Support the engagement manager / director / partner in managing engagement risk and project economics including planning and budgeting
Prepare deliverable content
Ensure the quality of deliverables meets with PwC and client expectations
Business Development
Participate in aspects of the proposal development process
Contribute to proposal writing
Team with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for Finance Consulting services
Support the development of "thought leadership" and "point-of-view" documents
People Development
Share knowledge across the global PwC network
Provide input and guidance into the firm’s staffing/resource management process
Actively participate in staff recruitment
What you'll bring to this role

Experience and working knowledge in the core finance areas of Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Acquire-to-Retire, Record-to-Report, Financial Planning and Budgeting and Management Reporting
Experience in process improvement or re-engineering initiatives and projects in the core back office accounting areas (see above) in either a consultant or internal role.
Relevant finance professional experience. A combination of Industry experience and consulting experience is considered an asset.
Professional accounting designation (CPA) is a plus
​Bilingual is a plus (French and English)
Understanding of or hands-on experience with financial applications and/or enterprise management solutions is preferred.
High level of client service orientation such as building solid relationships with clients; approaching clients in an organized manner, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks
