As Communications & Public Affairs Manager, you will play a key role supporting the global communications team, with a focus on the EAMS region. In addition to the day-to-day press, research and editorial duties, you will support communications and public affairs strategies across the EAMS region. This work involves proactive engagement with our projects and our people; managing relationships with the media; and supporting customer stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate would ideally have experience in public affairs or in journalism, and exhibit strategic communications skills in a wide variety of contexts relating to our infrastructure projects. 

 

Ours is a lean but highly motivated and successful team, so we are seeking someone with a real ‘can do’ attitude, who is a team worker, and who has a passion for the transformational impact our projects have on people and communities around the world. We see this role as one that will grow into a rounded industry communications and public affairs expert.

 

We are seeking to fill this position at the earliest possible date, as soon as first week of March.

  • Research and marketing

 

Job Skills:

  • Proven experience as a communications manager or similar role
  • Strong track record building relationships and working successfully with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, with a proactive collaborative approach
  • Understanding of media relations and digital media strategies
  • Excellent writing and research skills
  • Ability to articulate complex or technical issues in an easily understood, compelling way
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience of thinking and acting strategically to support business goals
  • Knowledge of infrastructure issues and, in time, our business and expertise, to help develop the most appropriate communications approaches

 

Desirable: 

  • Experience of working in or alongside government and/ or in media
