The Communications Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Operational Communications for PI&R, always putting the need of the Operator at the centre of all communications.
Communications Executive, Central Operations team
Based in Whitbread Court, Dunstable (Hybrid-working model, 2 days in the office)
Competitive salary + up to 10% bonus + benefits
Purpose of the role:
The Comms Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Operational Communications for PI&R, always putting the need of the Operator at the centre of all communications. You will provide communication support and guidance to Support Centre functions and ensure that operational teams are engaged and fully informed in a timely manner for all activity impacting them.
Role accountability:
- Accountable for the creation, coordination and delivery of communications as required to PI&R Operations across all available channels.
- Accountable for ensuring accuracy of content across all communications, and ensuring all communications align to brand standards.
- Continuous research to improve and evolve improved ways of communicating via language and use of images and hard copy
- Ensure Brand Guidelines are followed for all communications ensuring all are written and presented to a professional level of presentation and in line with guidelines
- Actively research to suggest alternatives to improve communications whether from internal or external contributors
- Monitor and gate keep adhoc and rogue communications from the Support Centre
- With the Comms, Engagement and Events Manager PI&R maintain the Communications Brand Book for all PI&R communications
- Utilise SharePoint to deliver communications to Operators using experience and knowledge to influence and persuade development in line with Operators needs
- In line with PI&R communications strategy to edit, reject or include submissions to weekly operational newsletters to ensure we issue appropriate, timely and correct communications to Operators on behalf of the Support Centre functions
- Support of Comms, Engagement and Events Manager PI&R
Knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience of writing for an audience and proof-reading to high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of the business and recognition of function needs/timings/practises
- Fluent in English and thorough knowledge of language construction - excellent grammar
