The Commissioned Services Manager will help the company achieve our goals set out in HC-One’s Purpose in Action, in particular to become the 1st choice care provider for commissioners of care in each community where we have a Care Home in Scotland.
They will partner and build relationships with Scottish Commissioners at all levels, in order to position HC-One as a trusted partner and first choice, to attract and secure top-tier funding and block contracts, and align our care offering with local demand for care.
The Commissioned Services Manager will help and assist operational colleagues with building the right relationships at local level, and help negotiate and re-negotiate contracts, explain our care model and proposition, access care pathways, contribute to service developments and ensure HC-One is represented at all levels from forums with the Director of Social Care to local provider forums and care associations. They will work with other providers through Scottish Care and Local Associations to further HC-One’s strategic goals.
This is a regional role predominantly covering Scotland. Living local to the area is desirable not absolutely necessary. Candidates not living locally will be expected to travel and spend time away from home.
With experience of contract management from either provider or commissioning side, social care service development experience or experience of providing or commissioning care, you will have excellent communication skills and be warm engaging, kind and empathetic with a passion for Resident’s care and quality of life, and be experienced in managing relationships and building networks, especially in the community with commissioners and professional partners.
Ideally you will be a Registered Nurse educated to Degree level, or have equivalent experience in a nursing or social work environment, and have previous project management experience, or project management skills. You will have concise and accurate record keeping skills, with the ability to interpret information and report back, be self-aware and able to regulate your own performance through self-assessment.
You will have extensive experience of working in Care with Vulnerable adults, knowledge of Regulations and Legislation and how this applies to Care Homes, and the ability to identify root causes of issues and focus on their resolution.
