Are you an experienced Buying Assistant who would like the opportunity to work on one of the biggest retail transformations to date?

As Commercial Transformation Buying Assistant SME you will support the delivery of some of the commercial projects within the Future program – implementing new systems and capabilities following our separation from Walmart.

This is a key role working as part of the Commercial Transformation team, reporting to the Commercial Transformation Manager. You will share knowledge and support the team in the planning, development and implementation of key commercial systems capabilities aligned to the overall objectives of the Future Program.

The Role

As the Commercial Transformation Buying Assistant, you will support with the delivery of commercial initiatives to overall Future Program timelines and you will work with the team to ensure new systems and processes are fit for purpose for the buying and wider Asda team.

You will contribute to the design, development, testing and training and you will support the roll out for the commercial teams. You will also collaborate with cross functional delivery teams to drive the delivery of the program outcomes. You will engage with key stakeholders across the Commercial function, Suppliers, finance, supply chain, tech, Future Program and technology vendors and attend relevant forums, meetings and briefings

About You

• You will have buying assistant experience and knowledge of key commercial processes including item set up, pricing, promotions and funding, with experience of Asda preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand and able to solve problems
• Ability to work cross functionally
• Excellent listener who can work collaboratively
