Commercial Steering & Insight Analyst

The purpose of the function is to successfully support in the steering the Commercial division and each of its sales channels to achieve and exceed set targets. This will involve key stakeholder management with the Insight & Commercial Steering Manager, Head of Sales Support, GMs, Heads of Channel, other functional areas in Alphabet (especially Finance Controlling) and the Executive Board.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Assist the Insight & Commercial Steering Manager with making recommendations to the development of business line strategy, budget and Long Range Plan along with Finance and Controlling.
• Analysis of performance by business line, highlighting performance and innovative recommendations and strategies to ameliorate deviations from target / forecast.
• Contribute to the development of the Company's strategy with regard to market positioning, pricing and product/services development for current customers.
• Creation of market and customer insight to support strategic decision making.
• Assist driving and co-coordinating actions plans with Senior Management to maximise sustainable long-term profit and growth from the customer base.
• Working with the Account Management team to develop win / win strategies and recommendations with fleet, ancillary products, and Fleet Specific Income.
• Develop, challenge, and innovate all AL-UK products and identify opportunities for bundling, cross-selling and commercial development for existing customers.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a business-related or numerical discipline)
• Strong Commercial awareness
• Knowledge of budgeting, business operations, and strategic planning
• Strong interpersonal / communication skills
• Ability to present / negotiate / influence at all levels
• Excellent Excel skills, including the ability to write and edit macros using VBA
• Experienced in use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to build a strong network
• Strong focus on productivity and efficiency.
