The Trading Team are responsible for how we drive long term value and customer growth at TalkTalk. We’re accountable for the go to market strategy for new and existing products right across the customer lifecycle from the sale to cancelations, we coordinate with many stakeholders across the Direct Consumer business unit.

You will be an expert in MS Excel and your logical and methodical approach to building a plan across sales and customer contact channels will enable us to track performance and identify where there are areas of opportunity or risks.
You will have experience with T-SQL, R, Python, Aginity or equivalent relational data technologies with the ability to work through a complex web of IT / Insight Hub source data to access the numbers required to deliver principal responsibilities.
Advanced trading analysis skills, including ability to identify issues and opportunities and create the analysis and insight to generate recommendations despite imperfect information in a fast-paced trading environment.
With the data you will be constantly curious, questioning the underlying drivers and making sure you understand the root cause of variances to forecast.
You will be comfortable making recommendations based on the data and will be happy to share with Directors with support from the team.
You will be able to balance the short-term demands for operational insights with the longer-term monthly / annual business improvement initiatives and changes. These two demands must be inter-linked with operational insights driving change to the monthly / annual projections.
You will help the Senior Manager in the team by providing the insight that will determine our commercial go to market approach across the TalkTalk product range, as well as working with Marketing and Sales channels to bring together a consolidate plan.
You will be pro-active with a network of contacts that enables working across multiple functions and departments.
You will be happy to step in and cover for the managers as needed and in doing so you will build your network and help your development for future progression.
