The Emerging Products team have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager, developing our commercial strategy and planning for Sky’s Emerging Products team, working with the Finance, Propositions, Product, Marketing, Trading and Business Development Teams to drive business performance and develop future plans.

What you’ll do:

– Lead proactive and reactive initiatives that generate product sales and drive engagement to increase revenue.
– Find opportunities to optimise the P&L supporting the team in driving engagement, volume, revenue & EBIT.
– Collaborate with Finance, Propositions, Marketing, Trading, Business Development and external partners to drive business performance and develop future plans.
– Support on bringing new propositions to market working with the Propositions & Product Teams to produce commercial strategies, input into business cases, and incorporate into the planning and budget process.
– Forecasting – as part of the quarterly planning process, including year-on-year trends, media, offer spend, RTM targets, and other overlays. These views will be split by week and produced in Excel. Always thinking; “what can be done differently?”

What you’ll bring:

– You’ll be very commercially aware and numerate, able to size commercial opportunities and influence your network to keep us focused on what’s important
– You’ll be a strategic problem solver, with an inquisitive mind, comfortable both in the detail and at a high level.
– You’ll be creative and innovative in finding ways to improve performance and resolve operational and negotiation challenges
– You’ll have strong analytical skills and be confident using Microsoft Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint – producing packs and materials that cut through complexity and lead straight to a decision
– You’ll be confident at communicating your recommendations to both big and small audiences, both internal & external. Producing presentation packs that are slick and easy to understand, articulating their content in a way that drives engagement.
– You’ll be brilliant at translating customer insight into strong commercial initiatives that drive momentum and strong business performance
– You’ll be logical, organised and structured to deliver key tasks and campaigns. A focus on delivery is critical, along with great attention to detail and the ability to lead and prioritise projects according to business focus
