Commercial Finance Manager - Major Business

What will you be doing? 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to partner with our National Government Sector within Major Business. Government sector generates a large sum of revenue offering fixed, mobile & IOT services.  This role is key to in driving continued growth alongside management of Vodafone’s largest customer. Key areas of focus will be providing meaningful and value add financial insight into performance and providing high quality commercial analysis driving the Vodafone Business priority of Margin acceleration.  

This role is an outstanding opportunity for a high calibre, commercially minded finance manager to provide first class financial decision support. The candidate will be highly numerate, display strong analytical and presentational skills and be able to communicate confidently to senior management.      

Key accountabilities include:

• Finance lead for Government: The role is to drive, support & hold the business to account on their financial & commercial targets.  The success of this role is dependent on transparency, alignment, insight and accountability.  
• Government Targets: Delivering on National Government Revenue, Margin and Cash targets is vital to the success of Vodafone Business. The role of the finance manager is to 1) understand, influence & shape the strategy; 2) establish & report key KPIs to measure success; 3) give clear direction to the business on what is working well & what needs to improve; 4) challenge the business on the key decisions; 5) be part of the core team.
• The role has extensive Customer and Supplier engagement: This role is unique in that it has regular interaction directly with strategic customers and suppliers alongside regular interaction with the Head of Major Business and members of the Finance Leadership team.   
• Drive Key decision making with pace: With a deep understanding of the segment, the finance partner should be continuously looking to spot further opportunities, ensure the right decisions are made, and working at pace to drive key decisions to action.

Who are we looking for?  

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
• Broad range of Finance roles with evidence of driving strong commercial performance in challenging markets.
• Ability to work across functional boundaries, with exceptional communication skills to influence and challenge.
