About the role

The Electricity Authority is an independent Crown entity that regulates the electricity market. We are the kaitiaki of electricity. Our purpose is to enhance New Zealander's lives, prosperity and environment through electricity.

We are looking someone who has had experience in managing significant contracts and are looking to take the next step in their career. As the Commercial Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for delivering cost-efficient and high-quality services to your designated portfolio of contracts. You will join a small supportive team that is currently undergoing an uplift in capabilities by refocusing key activities on major service providers.

Bring the following:

• Proven experience in the successful and proactive management and administration of contracts
• Experience of performance monitoring and conducting supplier reviews
• Stakeholder and relationship management, with the ability to negotiate and drive positive outcomes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience in the following would be advantageous:

• Government procurement financial forecasting and budgeting, and the electricity sector
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn will be key to your high performance in this role
• Good knowledge of vendor management will support stakeholder management capability
