The Role:

We are looking for an analytically minded graduate to join us within our customer insights team to drive increased customer and business understanding through analytics.

We work across the wider business and support the Commercial teams to practise data led decision making. We achieve this through clear and concise communication of occasionally complex information.  Our analytics stretches across a wide variety of areas, including Price and Promotions, Range, Customer Behaviour, property investment and a many other key business areas.

This role would be perfect for an early career analyst or a graduate looking to start their career with full training offered. All you need is the right mindset to look at various data, explaining different trends and supporting various departments with their business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Product and Customer Insight and Reporting

• Ensure Wickes are a great price for customers 

• Create the weekly reporting of Wickes price position and drive price competitiveness across the business

• Support the commercial teams in creating matches between Wickes products and comparable competitor ones

• Liaise with 3rd Party data suppliers to maintain data accuracy and specify additional project based work

• Increase commercial engagement with 3rd party software

• Supporting the Business

Make Wickes even better for Colleagues and Customers

• Design and produce regular reporting to support decision making across the business

• Provide analytical support on business questions across a wide range of topics

• Investigate and present conclusions across a wide range of topics

Supporting the Commercial Teams

• Enable Commercial Colleagues to make great decisions

• Use Range information to inform and drive Wickes decision making

• Provide information to support the Range Review process, shaping future ranges and displays

• Investigate competitor price moves and recommend how Wickes responds in the market

• Provide cross channel support to drive all parts of the multichannel offering forward

Competitor and Market awareness:

Work closely with the Insights team to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. Undertake regular competitor visits to understand and report competitor activity. Maintain a wide awareness of retail and customer trends and use this to drive the business forward. Make Wickes a better place to shop.

Skills & Experience: 

• Degree qualified (maths or science is beneficial) with A-Level Maths

• An analytical mind

• Team player

• Good time management

• Confident presenter

• Ability to problem solve and explain logic
