Description

Our downtown Vancouver client is looking to hire a Collections and Asset Recovery Specialist to join their dynamic forward-thinking organization. The Collections and Asset Recovery Specialist will work as part of a larger Collections team. While the day-to-day accounts management and daily collections are taken care of by the larger team, the Collections and Asset Recovery Specialist work on collecting from accounts that are falling behind in payments and work with them towards a solution amenable to both parties. While a payment solution is always the focus of these interactions when a solution cannot be reached, asset recovery is the next step. In some cases, this escalation will require engaging legal and bailiffs towards securing assets.

Requirements

The ideal Collections and Asset Recovery Specialist will have 2+ years of collections experience and preferably, some experience with the 'legalese' and liaising with bailiffs. You have excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills because this is a B2B environment where relationship management is critical. Solid Intermediate level MS Excel skills are highly desirable for this position
