What you’ll do:

Continuous development of OSS CloudFoundry platform as a product via a prioritised backlogused by mission-critical applications across Sky

Continuous development of OSS DBs; Galera Mysql, PostgresDB, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ with built-in self-service capabilities

Champion building a multi-cloud Kubernetes native PaaS on EKS, AKS, GKE and on-premise

Accelerate a “shift left” mindset to deliver a library of automated, self-service capabilities that empower developers across all areas of Sky’s business.

Enhance and extend the DevOps relationships with multiple teams across Sky technology, learning more about their requirements, future strategy in order to determine how to best serve their needs proactively.

Evangelise the use of cloud platforms and DevOps/SRE practices, sharing knowledge and best practice.

Evaluate industry cutting edge tools and techniques for DevOps/SRE to ensure our cloud platforms deliver the best possible experience to the userbase whilst remaining operationally efficient at scale.

What you’ll bring:

Excellent Linux, Containers, and networks skills

Proven track record of automation using modern software development tools and techniques.

Excellent GitOps skills and infrastructure automation skills (Bosh, terraform, Crossplane)

Knowledge and proficient use of CaaS (Kubernetes) and PaaS (Cloud Foundry).

Good programming skills in Python\Go

Good DB skills in any of MongoDB,Galera Mysql, PostgresDB, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ

Familiarity with enterprise incident, problem, change and release management.

Passion for emerging open source technologies and solving challenges.

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon.

Livingston Watermark House:

Our lively campus is a free shuttle bus away from Livingston South train station and the town centre. Plus there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
