Key responsibilities include:
Cloud Solution Architect Role (70%)
Understand market demand and customers’ data estate, including common workloads, use patterns and business priorities and needs, focusing in the specific area of expertise
Apply technical knowledge to help implement solutions, help solve technical customer problems; build technical collateral
Understand current technical capabilities of the Azure and competing products and platforms
Provide thought leadership for technical architecture design, development, and deployment and supports/drives the customer throughout pre-sales and/or implementation.
Identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement based on customer, field and internal stakeholder feedback and help incorporate them into the overall technical strategy
Help define and drive end-to-end programs for execution of the technical strategy
Act as the voice of the customer (VOC) by driving new feedback, gaps, blockers, insights, resources, etc. across territories to track, add, and prioritize, using established channels. Represents the customer to internal teams (e.g., Engineering) to shape products and services by providing insights across the territory.
· Anticipates, identifies, and removes technical blockers (e.g., changing configurations, sample coding) through regular technical reviews and check ins to accelerate architecture implementations. Anticipates and routes non-technical issues for removal by the appropriate party.
Working with multiple customers to create Proof of concepts (POCs) / Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) etc. and guiding customers through to production deployment and operationalization of projects​
· Ensure that solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment. Adapts methodology and applies governance to identify, communicate, and minimize business and technical risks (e.g. Well-Architected Framework, Enterprise Scale Landing Zone, Cloud Adoption Framework). Defines customer/partner conditions of success, adheres to quality assurance, and calculates risks while designing and/or delivering solutions.
Be an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities
Build and grow Data & Analytics communities by driving activities including OpenHack, Workshop
Trusted Advisor
· Develop and expand existing impactful relationships with customer and partner/MCS architects, C-level technical decision makers (TDMs), and business stakeholders (to the extent that the customer/partner will call for consultation without being prompted). Provide direction to TDMs and build the bridge between TDMs and business decision makers (BDMs). Influences partners in technical and architectural areas.
· Create and sustains constructive tension and trust with customers/partners by respectfully challenging their decisions and/or areas where they might do more and encouraging them to consider alternative architectures and approaches.
· Lead the adoption of Microsoft architecture technologies based on analysis/differentiation of Microsoft and competitor products to influence the industry-wide direction for specific architecture(s).
Data CTO role (30%)
Data CTO role will be reporting directly to the Data & AI Customer Success Director and be part of the Customer Success Azure Extended Leadership Team together with Apps, Infra, Security management teams and CTOs.

By being a visible role model for CSA & CE in strong partnership with other CSU CTOs and other technical leaders in the subsidiary.
By growing technical talents through coaching/mentoring

By leading the front on Innovation by contributing to leading digital initiatives to make the market and drive durable long-term Azure consumption (AI Country Plan, GAIA-X, MovinOn, Mobility as a Service, Ecosystem Platforms, etc.)
Define, execute and influence the Data & AI Technical Strategy by Partnering with Corp CSU and engineering teams:
Be the voice of French customers to C+AI engineering and WCB
Constantly curious for understanding early Tech & Industry trends of the local market to influence our readiness roadmap, our technical capabilities building and our customers education
Knowledge Management by harvesting and sharing IP and knowledge into our local Tech communities
Leading continuous improvement initiatives on Azure (Architecture Forum & Architecture Clinics) to grow tech intensity of the team through an animated network of SMEs and improve Azure consumption value to our customers.
Deliver CTO-level Customer & Partner facing activities:
CxO level sponsorhip by maintaining direct relationship with technical executives and influencers at key customers and partners
Showing technical credibility on complex architectural or early adopter scenarios
Fostering the creation of case studies and public references)
Thought Leadership
· Lead virtual teams around technologies and customer challenges by sharing ideas, insight, and strategic, technical input with technical teams, internal communities across the field, and the larger virtual team across Microsoft using knowledge of Microsoft architectures and their context in the competitive landscape. Acts as a mentor to multiple peers and lead initiatives to improve processes and drive efficiency.
· Participate in external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and shares learnings with internal team. Demonstrate deep industry knowledge and drives recognition for Microsoft solutions through presentations and engagements with external audiences.

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 10+ years (8+years for Master Degree) working with large Enterprise customers and field communities in consulting or similar roles, leading deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and support of highly distributed applications OR: 10+ years of experience in building products and services as part of Engineering teams in engineering positions. 5+ years of experience driving change management or technical adoption required
