“The DTA Platform Engineering and Operations team is responsible for the support, deployment of code developed within DTA to the Production Platforms. We have on premise solutions that we are responsible for including a Netezza Suite and a MapR Cluster. As part of our ongoing strategy, we are also heavily utilising the Google Cloud Platform and are responsible for maintaining and building via IAC and require Cloud Engineers to join our Core operations team to help manage the combination of the old on premise and in Cloud Platforms.”– Stuart McKnight, Cloud Manager

What you’ll do:

Be responsible for managing and building the Platforms, applying updates when required and communicating that to the Service managers in a timely manner. You will also be expected to help deliver on a deployment strategy and develop automated tools.

• Maintain and build Google Cloud Platform
• Work within our squads to help deliver GCP Projects using our IAC (Infrastructure as Code)
• Perform component deployment where automation exists
• Develop/update departmental documentation

What you’ll bring:

• A proactive mindset; monitor and track improvements and issues so they can be feed into the team’s future workstreams
• An understanding of Cloud and the IAC Framework
• A good working knowledge of Ansible, Teraform and Github
• A good understanding of the GCP architecture including IAM and associated resources
• Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Good problem-solving skills

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon.

Livingston:

Our lively campus is a free shuttle bus away from Livingston South train station and the town centre. Plus there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

You’ll be well fed at our subsidised canteen, and you can keep in shape at our onsite gym. Or play a game of pool or table tennis.
