Our network operations teams ensure our customers remain connected to their Vodafone services 24/7, constantly monitoring and enhancing network performance. Be part of Vodafone UK Technology Operations, the team that uses the latest technology and analytics to constantly improve customer experience.
What will you be doing?
You will play an integral part of the Vodafone Field Engineering team, performing installation and maintenance activities in support of the fixed and mobile networks as well as Vodafone business solutions. You will also install, commission and maintain the Vodafone network, products and services to agreed Vodafone standards and service levels without compromising safe working practices
Who are we looking for?
• Formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles.
• Experience of installing, diagnosing and fixing the following telecoms technologies;
• Multi-vendor CPE including Cisco, Juniper and ADVA
• Core transmission technologies including DWDM and Ethernet
• Mobile networking technologies 3G/4G/5G and associated equipment
• Microwave Radio
• Switch and Field DC power systems
• Fibre and copper cabling and termination
• Ability to work both in a team and on your own efficiently and effectively
• Ability to work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to manage own workload to best meet the demands of the business
• Adaptability and the ability to learn new skills quickly
• PC skills (IT Literacy)
• Valid / full UK / EU driving license
• Qualified Climber/Climbing experience
• Recent and comprehensive Industrial Climbing experience in a Telecoms environment
• Excellent customer-facing skills
• Ability to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification and passing regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance
• Ability to achieve and maintain SC clearance status
