In the Local & Regional Government team, we care deeply about supporting Local Authorities and Regional Government to get the most out of the solutions they invest in. It is our responsibility to help Councils in the UK to make better decisions that result in better care for the most vulnerable members of society. To do that, we need to help our customers become more productive, to get more from their data, and to digitize as many processes as possible in order to free up time for their people to offer care and compassion to those citizens who need it the most.

 

To help our customers achieve this, Microsoft have a broad family of resources who bring diverse perspectives, building alliances with key stakeholders in our customers organisations and building partnertships to support their Digital Transformation journeys. The Account Executive plays a crucial role in building long lasting relationships with Chief Executives, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Information Officers, and key business decision makers.

 

We are currently looking for an Account Executive to partner with our most valued Local Government customers in the North-East of England. Embracing a challenger mindset, the successful Account Executive manages, orchestrates and leads their virtual teams and closes opportunities with customers that produce transformative business outcomes for them. The ambitions for the region are significant and the opportunity to transform and make an impact here has never been greater.

Responsibilities

  • Business Relationship Owner: You will be responsible for defining the strategic vision, and leading the transformation with the customer’s CxO level IT and Business Decision Maker (BDM) connections. This requires leadership skills and ability to challenge conventional thinking. Success will come through achieving our Customer's success.
  • Team Mobiliser and Orchestrator: Mobilise the entire account virtual team and direct clear opportunity ownership in strong collaboration with partners.
  • Sales Leader and Operational Excellence: Achieve results by understanding digital transformation drivers and customer priorities. Identify new opportunities and help customers accelerate their move to the digital age for their own benefit as well as their customers. Delivering consistent, repeatable achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue and cloud consumption targets
  • Sales Challenger: Continuously build industry and technical knowledge. Bring innovative industry solutions, benchmarks and references to C-level executives that drive greater efficiencies, optimisation and increase customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with and leading virtual teams.
  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Sales, Business Consulting or Consultative Selling
  • Additional training or education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Public Sector and ability to make confident recommendations at C-level with business decision makers.
  • Public sector sales experience is highly desirable 

Location:

  • The role is based in North East of England and we would prefer candidates living within travel distance of this area
