About the Role:

You Will Be Working in One of The Most Important Hubs to New Zealand and The Gateway to The South Island, in Order to Keep the Port Operating at Full Speed; We Need You!!!

You Will Be Working in With an Existing Team, Strengthening Existing Wharves, Building New or Permanent Structures Such as Walls and Beams. the Successful Candidate Will Have a Minimum of 2 Years Experience Working with Concrete and Hold a Valid Site Safe.

All Downtime Paid when Ships Come Into Port or During Tidal/ Weather Restrictions!

$28.00 - $42.00 wages to contracting rates are negotiable based on experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build, erect and align forms for various concrete structures and foundations
• Strengthening works on existing wharfs
• Build new, temporary and permanent structures such as walls and beams
• Form up small plinths and boxing with timber
• Place steel and help with concrete
• Grouting in and epoxy starter bars
• Steel tying

Benefits and Site Culture:

• Wages up to $34.00 based on skills and experience, negotiable for a multi-skilled candidate
• Contracting rates up to $42.00 based on skills and experience, negotiable for a multi-skilled candidate
• Paid downtime when ships come in or tidal restrictions apply
• Downtime hours where you will be sent home with pay
• All PPE gear provided
• 2-year project

Role Requirements:

• Experience concreting, grouting, formwork experience in civil space
• Carpentry background in concrete structures advantageous
• Steel tying experience advantageous
• MUST hold a valid Site Safe Passport
• COVID-19 Vaccination required for this site
