The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Change & Release Manager to join our IT Service Integration & Support team for a 2 year fixed term contract.  You will be responsible for the execution of the release and deployment management process, ensuring a co-ordinated and low risk transition of services and solutions to production environments.  

 

Your Key accountabilities are:

  • Lead, oversee and co-ordinate all activities within the technical change and release process for Sydney Metro IT, monitor changes through all stages of the change lifecycle, working collaboratively with teams involved to exchange information and drive change management outcomes
  • Plan, schedule and maintain the forward change schedule, confirm that all changes have been successfully implemented and any required Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) are carried out for failed changes
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the release calendar and schedule, working closely with Service Integration & Support teams, as well as with Transport IT, to develop a central consistent view of all releases, assist in identifying project interdependencies to ensure release integrity and provide communications to key delivery teams and third party suppliers to ensure alignment and awareness of the release schedule
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential risks and contribute to the development of risk management plans, establishment of risk controls and performance of risk mitigation activities

About you:

You are an experienced and versatile Change & Release Manager and have a good understanding of forward work plans in IT Operations.  In your previous roles you will have leveraged your experience to deliver IT change management projects, managing the relationships between internal teams, service providers and partners, preferably in a complex organisation, delivering multiple projects or within a public sector department.

 

You will have evidence of continued professional development, led change management delivery by taking a structured approach to delivering change, identifying business impacts, agreeing business readiness action plans, developing and executing activities in line with the change management plan.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent stakeholder management skills, provide high quality advice and be committed to driving outcomes. You will directly engage with senior management and Service integration managers to influence and build upon a strong risk culture. You will demonstrate the benefits of using robust risk management processes and tools and will champion effective management of risks across multiple IT areas.

 

Salary and benefits

The salary for this position is a Grade 9A ($138,670) – 9E ($155,309) per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading.
