ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:

CATERING ASSISTANT

Cheltenham

Full time - 40hrs per week

£10.57 per hour

Including an annual retention bonus of £2,000 (pro-rata), plus a holiday allowance of 30 days holiday per year, including Bank Holidays, plus 2.5 Privilege days per year, increasing to 35 days after 5 years service.

We are looking to grow our existing Catering team at this prestigious site in Cheltenham, and currently have Full-time vacancies available. 

Our current rate of pay is £10.57 per hour.  Also included is an annual retention bonus of £2,000 (pro-rata), plus a holiday allowance of 30 days holiday per year, including Bank Holidays, plus 2.5 Privilege days per year, increasing to 35 days after 5 years service.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday between the hours of 06:30 - 16:00. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Receive and check deliveries, report any discrepancies at time of delivery.

• Put away any deliveries in relevant storage areas, making sure of correct stock rotation.

• Place orders through the Indicator system when required.

• Assist in the preparation of basic food items to be sold as part of the catering offer.

• Serve customers as and when required including operating a Barista coffee machine and cash handling for sales.

• Prepare and deliver any hospitality arrangements around the building when required.

• Carry out all cleaning duties as per the site specific cleaning schedule.

• Carry out weekly deep clean of refrigeration units and surrounding areas in restaurants.

• Carry out and record temperature recordings as stated in the G4S Food Safety Systems.

• Wear G4S branded uniform and safety footwear ensuring it is smart and presentable at all times.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Essential Criteria:

• Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety.

• Basic knowledge of COSSH.

• Basic knowledge of due diligence requirements, allergens.

• Food safety certificate.

• Previous experience of a quality catering operation.

The successful candidate must be willing to undergo and obtain extended security clearance in order to commence employment with us. On commencement of employment there is also a 2.5%  of annual salary ‘Golden Hello’.
