Job Description

A bit about the job:

This is a client facing role liaising with clients, suppliers, brokers and other relevant external/internal stakeholders managing a large and complex claims portfolio of Financial Lines claims, usually as primary follow or excess layer insurer, including maintenance of estimates.

You will utilise excellent technical and organisational skills to handle Financial Lines claims, understanding and appointing the right suppliers quickly.

As a Case Manager you will ensure adherence to the standards of technical knowledge and performance expected and keeps up to date with claims philosophies and standards ensuring they are applied consistently to settle claims cost effectively through detailed investigation and deliver business results.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • In-depth knowledge of claims handling, quality assurance, fraud, impacting legislation and professional standards and codes in respect of own business unit or discipline at a level which enables the provision of strategic decision making and direction.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, to articulate technical issues to a variety of internal and external parties.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively handle a wide and varied caseload of Financial Lines claims and client relationships.

  • Problem-solving skills to identify the blockages within the system and initiate resolution.

  • Strong commercial acumen in order to make decisions within your authority limits.

  • Working knowledge of a range of standard computer software, including POLISY, Guidewire, Kronos and Xchanging together with other strategic systems as required.

  • Starting salary of up to £40,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
