You’ll support various stakeholders within the capacity market process and matrix manage supporting analysts, ensuring their work in delivered to agreed timescales, quality and standards.

Pay, benefits and culture...

In addition to a competitive salary we offer a market-leading company pension scheme, paid holidays with ability to buy additional holiday and a range of flexible benefits, such as: a company incentive bonus plan, cycle to work scheme, electric vehicle scheme, health cover option, gym membership, discounts and employee pricing.

We’ll support you to work flexibly from home (providing a suite of IT equipment), whilst coming together on site to our offices in either Gloucester or London 1-2 days per week for face to face support and collaboration.

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself.  We’re committed to equality, diversity, inclusion.  We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re an equal opportunity and disability confident employer. If you feel comfortable sharing with us that you have a disability, you meet the minimum criteria for the role, we will guarantee you an interview.

We’ll value the difference you bring and give you opportunities to thrive and succeed and to feel you belong.

The opportunity…

As a subject matter expert, you’ll be responsible for delivery of all aspects of EDF’s Capacity Market activities.  You’ll need to juggle lots of competing tasks and priorities and make sure they are all achieved to the deadlines.  Over time you’ll develop and then maintain an in-depth knowledge of the capacity market rules and regulations, interpreting changes into required process updates to ensure accurate and comprehensive submissions to the capacity market delivery partners.

You’ll act as a key point of expertise for the capacity market within the business ensuring that requirements and obligations are known, and stakeholders are briefed and understand what is expected of them whilst establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with key internal & external stakeholders, industry & government bodies including the capacity market delivery partners.

What we’re looking for…

Being a Capacity Business Market Lead at EDF means you’ll have a sound commercial understanding and customer focus. You’ll be skilled in inspiring, coaching and leading others to achieve successful results and will be able to interpret and communicate complex concepts to non-technical people at all levels within the business, with the ability to deal with ambiguity, ensuring clarity and understanding.

You’ll be highly organised and have great attention to detail. You will also have strong resilience and tenacity when seeking to challenge and influence stakeholders in order to optimise outcomes for EDF.  You’ll be forward thinking, with the ability to problem solve upcoming issues before they impact on the critical path of tasks.

If you know the capacity market inside out then great, but equally if you don’t it’s knowledge that can be built up over time.
