Utilising all available audience data, the Campaign Planner will execute the detailed planning of integrated marketing campaigns across all BBC inventory and services. You will be responsible for creating audience focused campaign plans by applying the principles of media planning, marketing and advertising strategy.
The Campaign Planner will coordinate, track and evaluate all promotional campaigns across the BBC's TV, Radio, digital media and external media inventory and also identifying strategic cross promotional opportunities.
You will also demonstrate an awareness and understanding of audience behaviours and convert campaign strategy into clear campaign plans for the Operations team. The Campaign Planner will allocate airtime and brief marketing teams and off air buying agencies to ensure effective integration of these plans.
The Campaign Planner will require an in depth understanding of media planning and buying social media in addition to significant TV/Radio/Digital broadcast experience. Ideally, you will have experience of working within a broadcasting company, advertising, media or integrated marketing agency.
You will also have demonstrable experience of defining, coordinating and communicating promotional strategy; a knowledge of audience trends and ability to analyse data, while interpreting and applying media research. The Campaign Planner will have a thorough understanding of the commercial broadcast marketplace and an understanding and application of media research and marketing within a broadcast environment.
