The EMEA regional COO Office is responsible for coordinating and delivering a wide range of change and transformational initiatives.
Job Purpose:
The Business Transformation Manager holder will lead efforts to understand and implement changes to the Private Bank/CGW across the EMEA region to adapt to new local and cross border regulations; support Citi’s Transformational programs to derive better client experience & automated controls, and support business growth plans.This will require detailed analysis, working in conjunction with Front Office, Product, Control Functions and Operations & Technology teams, in order to assess the impact of the change and subsequently define and implement the appropriate solution into the business.
Key to success in the role is the ability to blend successful project management discipline with a good understanding of the subject matter in order to help shape the outcome. The role will involve interfacing with key senior stakeholders and internal clients across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the detailed analysis working with Front Office, Product, Control functions and Infrastructure teams in order to understand the changes necessary due to (a.) Local and Cross-Border regulatory changes; (b.) Citi’s Regulatory Commitments; (c) Citi’s transformational programs to improve client experience and automated controls; and (d) Business transformational growth initiatives
- Execute multiple projects or programs (potentially a combination of tactical and strategic programs) by defining the necessary implementation plans and establishing the appropriate governance and managing them on an ongoing basis
- Lead and manage Steering Committees identifying, managing and escalating issues, risks and dependencies as appropriate, while working with the various teams in order to define necessary solutions and mitigation plans
- Develop and lead the robust change plans to include internal & external communication plan and training plans
- Develop Business requirement documents as well as test scripts (as required)
- Ensure changes are transitioned to the relevant teams in a sustainable manner ensuring the necessary enhancements are made to the control framework
- Act as an internal consultant, working closely with relevant partners, in order to quickly understand issues and help lead the identification, definition and implementation of the solution
Experience/Skills:
- Demonstrable front–to-back experience of leading or working on initiatives in at least one of the following areas: Complex regulatory initiatives (e.g., MIFID2), large business transformational programs, Digital & Data transformation programs working with internal and external technology providers
- Experience in Private Banking / Wealth Management in conjunction with experience in a consultancy
- Knowledge of Wealth Management, Private Banking & Investment Management processes such as profiling, advice, suitability etc. as well as discretionary Investment management
- Work experience in delivering client propositions and business initiatives, an advantage
- Good knowledge of one or more Private Banking products
- In-depth experience of defining and leading significant change programs across the lifecycle, including analysis, systems implementation, process change and controls and communications and training
