At Barnardo's, we believe that children and young people should have opportunities to have their voices heard and be taken seriously in decisions that affect them, and that this leads to better decision-making and improved services.
In 2021, we launched a brand new Voice and Influence Strategic Plan across our charity, which lays out our ambition for putting the voices and lived experiences of children and young people are at the heart of Barnardo's, and the ways these inform how we work and the decisions we make in every part of the charity.
The implementation of this new Strategic Plan is being led by our Voice and Influence (V&I) Team, who are now looking for a permanent Business Support Officer to provide efficient and effective administrative and business support, in order to facilitate successful delivery of the Plan.

This role will be home-based, but with access to local collaboration hubs when/where needed, in line with our new Work From Anywhere framework, and will be required to work flexibly to accommodate the role requirements.
The working hours for this role are open to negotiation, but we do require a minimum of 29 hours per week in order to fully accommodate the role requirements.
It would be beneficial for the postholder to live within commuting distance of London or Bristol (the base locations of the V&I senior managers to whom this post is accountable), though this will not form part of the shortlisting and assessment processes for the post.
