The Business Program Manager for Learning and Development role is responsible for driving learning culture for CCSM by owning the learning experience and content roadmap. This role’s main accountability is to manage the experience our CCSM team members will have in the CCSM Academy learning management system, drive the learning experience around internal events, manage the prioritization of our instructional designers publishing roadmap, and lead initiatives to support learning culture from new learning program creation/curation to learning needs analysis. This role will also be the key business stakeholder in working with the engineering teams supporting the CCSM Academy learning management system in both managing the day-to-day engagements to supporting the new feature roadmap prioritization. Additionally the role will be responsible for the day to day management of the learning vendor resources from instructional designers to Content/Learning Management System PM.

 

The role reports to the Director of Business Capabilities and this is a leading edge role in driving learning culture in a learning focused organization. An affinity for learning, the ability to form educated recommendations and an ability to influence are critical to this position. This role gives the opportunity to plan and build end-to-end processes, projects and programs with significant complexity and drive innovation and change for the consumer business. A positive attitude, a team mentality, ability to simplify the complex, strategic thinking, adaptability, and creativity are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Learning Experience

Own the end-to-end learning experience in the CCSM Academy learning management system.

Drive learning communications for monthly newsletters and stakeholder comms.

Learning Content

Manage new learning content requests, development/curation, prioritization, and instructional designer resource workload.

Work with business stakeholders to identify and land new learning program initiatives.

Event Learning

Support the Comms & Events team in ensuring a proper learning experience aligned to CCSM internal events.

Scale event learning content publishing through CCSM Academy.

Academy Learning Management System

Own business engagement with the Academy engineering teams, both internal engineering as well as the external vendor companies.

Qualifications

Required/minimum Qualifications

3-5 years’ experience in Learning and/or Talent development (needs analysis, instructional design models, content development, learning technologies (LMS), and training facilitation).

Proven experience in program management; business experience in global consumer sales, marketing, or services environment; experience in technology company considered advantageous.

Proven trusted advisor status in engagement and influence with senior leaders.

Ability to gain trust, influence, and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.

Operating expertise with a track record of getting things done through cross-functional partnerships.

Experience developing accessible, engaging, and sustainable learning solutions with a variety of modalities (i.e., online, in-person, microlearning, and MOOCs).

Ability to simplify complex ideas into easy-to-understand concepts for content development and communications.

Strong analytical, budget, project management, and communication skills.

Ability to work flexibly, deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

People/vendor management experience a plus.

Experience scaling and delivering programs globally.

ormal training in project and process management, business strategy and operations and/or internal controls.

Understanding of Microsoft technology, product, and service offerings.

Strong knowledge of adult learning theories, interactive training, instructor-led training, self-paced instruction, and evaluation methods.
