The Business Process Manager is responsible to execute the approved Business Process Management Strategy for assigned business area. Proactively collaborating with business unit managers and stakeholders, this role will ensure adherence to process standards and provide coaching to the business in developing efficient processes. The Business Process Manager utilizes lean methods for evaluating process health, and mentor process owners and managers on how to improve their processes. This role also provides process mapping/documentation support to the business area.
Key Functions & Accountabilities:
- Perform gap analysis on business process ownership and collaborates with business leaders to identify owners.
- Support the business with value stream mapping using Business Process Management standards.
- Mentor business on process standards, expectations and templates for effective Business Process Management.
- Evaluate process risk and support the business with identifying opportunities for process controls (error-proofing).
- Contributes to the development of user-friendly tools and templates to support process management / health evaluations.
- Works with the business to ensure their Process Manuals are current and properly documented /changes communicated.
- Develop along with the Application Specialists the creation of procedural adherence and transactional accuracy (PATA) reports to monitor and maintain positive control over our systems.
Qualifications
- Possess good user knowledge of TRAX and other relevant IT systems in use at Air Canada Maintenance.
- Strongly familiar with the processes and procedure for maintenance, engineering, supply chain and airworthiness. Knowledge of the organizational structure and culture.
- Ability and experience in mapping processes and improving procedures to align with business strategy.
- Ability and experience in analyzing and setting process benchmarks & performance.
- Ability and experience in establishing policies and rules, implementing process & technology changes.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Developed PC skills: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, Visio.
- Good analytical/problem solving experience to deal with complex business problems.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with an aptitude to juggle priorities to meet strict deadlines.
- Sense of initiative, self-discipline and proactive thinking.
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be a team player.
- Proven ability to train, mentor and coach others.
