Have working experience overseeing the planning and execution of business strategies for an organisation or clients, based on input gathered from stakeholders throughout the company and establishing metrics for evaluating results.


We would love you to also have any of the following:

•    Track record of working within a multi-stakeholder environment, presenting complex information to varied audiences in a simple and effective way and influencing for positive outcomes.
•    Experience of leading or embedding best practice assurance processes in a complex business environment
•    Ability to drive and implement effective change and continuous improvement activities to achieve organisational objectives, managing deployment of strategies across business units.
•    High levels of strategic awareness are required to proactively and effectively develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
•    Experience of working in a business planning or financial planning role, within a result driven organisation.
•    Exemplary analytical skills, with experience in analysing business and financial information to identify trends, handle large data sets and develop and present complex information in a clear and concise manner, for decision-making.
•    You will have good problem-solving skills and ability to use both logic and intuition to derive solutions for the business.
•    You will have a strong attention to detail with accurate record keeping and / or awareness of governance frameworks. You will also be able to priorities and deliver within timescales, adjusting for competing priorities where required.
•    You will have experience of working in cross-functional teams and an ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines.

 

About us and the role

We are looking for a Business Planning Lead to join our nuclear energy business. You will join the Technical Client Organisation (TCO) business unit, which exists to tackle challenges that are varied and ever-changing, in the pursuit of Net Zero. Our business is helping design and build new power stations, to supporting EDF’s existing fleet operations, through to defueling. The TCO is a critical component to Great British Nuclear success within the current UK nuclear industry, with an eye on future reactor technologies, and will evolve and expand its scope to remain a nuclear centre for excellence.

The position interfaces with all TCO leaders, both in the Technical Support Organisation (technical service provider), as well as the Technical Client Organisation (Licensee) interfaces.

Business Planning is a fundamental activity for TSO, as it underpins our agreed commercial funding position and deliverables to meet our Licensee demands; as well as providing the necessary data to enable key decision making for resourcing strategies for TCO, for capabilities both internal and with our external supply chain partners.

This is an exciting time to join the team, as the HPC Project progresses with construction & pre-operation and as work progresses on securing the Sizewell C Project to help Britain achieve #CarbonNetZero.
