The Boeing Company is looking for a highly motivated Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to join the Information Security (IS) team that has responsibility for leading best cybersecurity practices for their assigned region.  The Business Information Security Officer (BISO) will serve as the primary point of contact between the cybersecurity function and their assigned business unit(s), region, service line, platforms(s), and/or corporate function. The BISO is responsible for maintaining a strategic relationship with the specific business unit or function that they are aligned to. This is done to ensure that cybersecurity is incorporated into the culture of the enterprise/organization/business unit in question.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Information Security, regional leaders, IT Project Managers, Business Partners, Architecture, Network, IT Support Team and project teams for thorough understanding of business and enterprise requirements, and coordinate business enabling solutions.
  • Work and bridge communication gaps between cross-functional teams, providing Information Security guidance as appropriate
  • Share knowledge and expertise of in-country (or regional) cybersecurity policy and regulatory environment with key stakeholders
  • Support the Enterprise in maintaining cybersecurity hygiene and seek opportunities to enhance and improve security of Information
  • Provide senior in-country leadership with accurate assessments of our security posture and progress on industry standard frameworks on an ongoing basis.
  • Educate stakeholders on cybersecurity-related matters in an effort to increase awareness and improve culture

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Proven experience working in risk management, governance, and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity with a specific focus on business outcomes and service delivery
  • Confident, energetic self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts
  • Ability to bring key stakeholders together to rapidly and collaboratively achieve consensus on priorities and path forward to work tasks and projects
  • Has good judgment, a sense of urgency and has demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity
  • Proven work experience with multinational enterprises
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and professional audit certification (CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred
  • Candidate must possess authorization to operate in country

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Work experience with Aerospace and Defense products involving Engineering and IT functions.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks
  • Experience with security assessments
  • Familiarity with security controls and services on endpoint devices, in-house and commercial applications, Window and Linux servers, and infrastructure network devices
  • Effective analytical skills with an ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Tolerant of ambiguity and the flexibility to work well in a dynamic environment
  • High attention to detail, self-starter, results driven
  • CISSP, Security+ or other cybersecurity certifications
  • Project management, team lead experience
  • Experience evaluating cyber security controls and providing guidance for platform or distributed computing platforms (Cloud, PaaS)

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Typically 12 - 16 years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required

Work Authorisation: This position does not have sponsorship approval. This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
