The Devices BG Leader in the subsidiary is accountable for leading the commercial devices business end to end. Managing the P&L, the GTM and the sales orchestration of our devices portfolio for the commercial business.  A leader role, leading a team of product marketeers and an extended virtual team to drive: 

Responsibilities

  • In this role you will be accountable for the business in your market including strategy, planning, execution, advocacy governance, and learning. 
  • Growth establishing Surface as the ultimate device for Microsoft 365 in the Modern Workplace. Actively engage cross the other business groups and segments in the One Microsoft machine. Local orchestration to embed Surface in GTM motions is vital 
  • As our Business Unit Lead you will indirectly lead a team of Product Marketing Managers who are the business leaders for their functional domain. You will participate in Area level planning and governance processes, provide data and insights to support and drive effective business prioritization and decision-making to the Leadership team to achieve the business goals. 
  • Deliver the business to exceed our goals through channel scale and maturity. Taking a One Surface approach for the entire Devices business aligning promotion calendar and launch activities with the  local consumer team 
  • Evangelist. Strengthen the GTM motion with Microsoft 365 as the chief evangelist for Surface devices, showcasing the best of Microsoft 365 with our premium portfolio 
  • Launch with excellence bringing our story to life and accelerating demand ensuring consistent cross portfolio demand planning and lifecycle management. 
  • Strong coordination and alignment with the Field Sales, Digital Sales and Partner functions 
  • Provide insight, learning and feedback to drive continuous business strategy improvement and success. 
  • Lead and model a diverse and inclusive customer-centric culture 
  • Be a key voice in the UK extended leadership team  

Qualifications

Experience  

  • 8-10 years of related product marketing experience   
  • Commercial leadership, business unit/business group leadership experience within a technology environment. 
  • Cross-functional management experience in a customer/partner facing role. 
  • Deep customer focus and the ability to engage external customers/partners. 

Skills & Knowledge  

  • Evangelist and subject matter expert for product  
  • Strong financial and analytical skills and experience. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Deep customer focus and understanding  
  • Experienced in core marketing communications functions    
  • People management experience 

Education:  

  • Requires a bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or Computer Science., MBA preferred  
  • Certifications in sales, sales management, complex sales training, sales methodologies, and consultative selling preferred
