Job Description

Salesforce is the world’s #1 CRM company. What does that actually mean? We help companies put their customers at the heart of everything they do. By providing teams with one single platform centralising sales, service, marketing and e-commerce data, we have helped over 200,000 businesses create a single source of truth, making everyone’s jobs, customer interactions, and decision making fast, cohesive, and data-driven.

To keep up with our growth, we are looking for smart, ambitious people who want to develop in a collaborative environment and write the next chapters of their careers. At Salesforce, you will get the opportunity to do rewarding work and have real impact, with great scope for personal-brand building. As a proud member of the Fortune 100 Best Places to Work list for the past 12 years, and as a consistent winner of Great Places to Work, we do all we can to help you carve out a successful, fulfilling career, whether you have a tech-sales background or not. More on that below.

The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you are the first person to speak with our future customers. Working in our team, you will develop a deep knowledge of your territory and our solutions, and use this to hold insightful conversations to discover if a company’s needs and our offerings overlap. You will become adept at helping companies pinpoint their challenges, and then paint a picture of the wide-ranging business value that Salesforce can deliver.

In the BDR role, you’ll do well if you are curious about business, organised, tenacious, and like to see the fruits of your efforts. You’ll work closely with senior sales people in your territory, planning smart outreaches, and consulting prospects on how their companies can best implement our technology. Once you have reached a level of proficiency, you will have freedom in how you run your business.

We are looking for people who share our four core values - trust, customer success, innovation and equality. Why? It’s important you feel you belong here. Right from the start, we want people of great character, who keep their promises and display a brilliant attitude to their teammates, prospects, and the wider Salesforce Ohana. We look for smart people, who can understand others, communicate effectively, and get things done. The icing on the cake is the energy you bring to the team and the job: Positive, helpful, enterprising. You view team success as highly as you do personal success.

The Day-to-Day

  • Plan and execute tailored campaigns around solutions or events to entice prospective clients to speak with you
  • Use your follow-up plan on these campaigns to hit monthly call-connect targets
  • Use strong qualification skills on those calls to uncover need and hit your monthly targets
  • Align with the Account Executives you support, discussing and refining your prospecting strategy
  • Utilise the Salesforce platform to gather intelligence on your accounts, and record all activity and actions
  • Attend dedicated product and sales-acumen trainings each week
  • Help drive innovation, knowledge sharing and, most importantly, craic in our team meetings and discussions

Opportunities for all Backgrounds

We are looking for depth and diversity in our teams, so we welcome applicants who believe they have the potential, even if they don’t have direct experience in a similar role. Applicants will get an opportunity to meet with peers and stakeholders during the interview process to get a sense of what life is like at Salesforce, to better understand the company and the role. We’re here to find a strong match, just like you are. We offer a top-class training program and ongoing support all the way through your career, and we pride ourselves on our track record of coaching people with a variety of skillsets to forge successful careers in tech sales. To summarise: Get in touch, we want to hear from you!

Benefits

  • Attractive package
  • Ongoing training, development and mentorship throughout this role and your career
  • Clear, structured progression path
  • Health insurance and pension contributions
  • Monthly wellbeing subsidy
  • Regular incentives for top performers
  • Annual education budget of €5,000 to spend on your career development
  • Additional seven days paid time off for charitable causes - check out our 1/1/1 model
  • World-class training bootcamp
  • Share purchase plan
  • Paid parental leave
