HPE’s Compute Business Unit is currently on the lookout for a highly engaged, driven, and passionate Business Development Manager (BDM) to join the Data Solutions team, located in Sydney or Melbourne. The Data Solutions business is experiencing strong growth, and this is a newly created role focussed on acquiring new customers. As the BDM, you will be accountable for the development of building an indirect Go to Market across Australia with a focus on developing the Global Systems Integrators (GSI’s). Bringing you current knowledge and expertise from an acquisitions and workload specialisation, you will be exposed to a highly successful and fast-growing solution set and have a broad scope working with HPE’s partner eco system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • As a Sales Specialist you will be positioned as a subject matter expert.
  • Develop long term sales pipeline to increase the company's market share in workload specialisation with a focus on AI and video analytics use cases.
  • Build a close working relationship with SAP across Australia.
  • Use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities for customer value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities to build the pipeline in and drive pursuit in specialty area.
  • Provide support to the Enterprise Account Managers.
  • Development of compelling customer proposals
  • Create and grow reference customers.
  • Sell complex products or solutions to customers on a partnership basis.
  • Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, including the C- level for mid-to-large accounts by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
  • Maintain expertise on IT at all levels - new applications, maintenance, budgets of the CIO's, objectives, measures, and metrics.

About You:

  • Proven experience in workloads, software, or applications background, with demonstrated domain SME experience.
  • Proven achievement of quota, with 5+ years of sales and acquisitions experience.
  • C-level engagement skills and effective collaboration skills.
  • Enthusiasm and a genuine drive to continue a career in sales and data solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent. MBA preferred.
