The role of the Business Development Manager will be responsible for building and growing clients business and brand within Australia by hunting new business opportunities and selling autonomously, and have a "hunter" instinct to step out and acquire new customers!
You enjoy selling in a fun environment, organised, innovative, and passionate about the construction industry with a flair for technology! You must be honest, have strong values, eager to learn, and willing to take objections.
You will be selling hardware (Cameras) as well as software to senior decision makers within construction industry.
The Responsibilities:
Keep current with construction industry knowledge and trends by doing research and networking both in person and virtual
Develop contact and sales strategies to help meet strategic growth objectives
Assist in the development and implementation of the strategic marketing plan, sales objectives, and individual sales plans
Develop clear sales proposals & negotiate deals with the target organizations' executives and decision-makers
Build and manage sales funnel and pipeline.
Aggressively prospect for new customers following up leads proactively and identifying key decision makers
Make "cold callsâ€, networking meetings, attend industry events and any other sources that lead to generating contacts and opportunities
Manage and drive RFP responses. Review and process proposals to customer
Lead/participate in presentations to new customers. Establish and maintain effective communication with customers at all times
The Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience selling to executives in the construction industry
Must understand the sales process and be able to close sales
Strong presentation skills
Computer/Office Machines, Microsoft Word, Excel
English proficient in business writing and verbal communication
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution â— Tech-savvy, experience with hardware and software
Existing relationships in the construction industry
Experienced in using CRM software viz. Hubspot
Comfortable speaking to a large audience at tradeshows and conferences
Understanding of Software as a Service
