About this role

The Business Assurance & Reporting Analyst will join part of the wider GBA team. Group Business Assurance (GBA) operates as a 2nd Line of defence, assuring the end to end (E2E) accuracy of supplier and customer charging whilst giving insight and consultancy to the business on improvements and optimisation opportunities. 

The successful business analyst will support the input into and execution of the GBA strategy for the ongoing assurance of products and contracts within their customer facing unit. You will use industry and/or BT E2E system/product knowledge to drive operational excellence.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Accountable for business engagement across a wide range of operational CFU stakeholders. 

Has detailed understanding of one or more key product/contract areas and uses business assurance knowledge to carry out/support 2nd line control coverage assessments, product end-to-end assessments and risk and control reviews. 

Uses understanding of the audit of processes and systems along with commercial insight to define and recommend new or amend appropriate coverage and controls, and ensure they are executed. 

Carries out root cause analysis and root cause management at CFU level (working with Control Operations and Recovery). 

May be required to support specialists in management of third-party suppliers and interaction with auditors and regulatory authorities. 

Gathering and collating data from across all teams within Non-Usage team to feed into reporting dashboards.  

Uses intelligence from dashboard to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. 

You'll have the following skills & experience

Experienced in Business/Revenue Assurance.

Experience using SQL, Python and OBI for data analysis.

Managing change in operational team management alongside strong communication/influencing skills and stakeholder management at a senior level. 

Good knowledge in the specific areas of business covered by the team 

Commercial awareness with ability to articulates high level commercial impact of complex assurance activities to senior stakeholders.

Excellent Microsoft package skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc).

High proficiency in financial analysis/insights alongside governance and compliance.

Strong fluency within data management. 

Pragmatic and impact-focused approach to business performance improvement with a logical and analytical approach to problem-solving at pace.

Committed to delivering requirements within an, at times, ambiguous and complex organisational environment.
