About this role
We have a new and exciting vacancy for a Business Assurance Analyst, where you will identify our billing and financial risk across our varied products and contracts to support our strategy.
The work that you do will be important, as you will be supporting the company unit and wider BT by driving risk mitigation across people, process and systems to reduce risk and improve customer experience.
Being analytical is key to this role. You will be auditing to ensure that our costs and inventories are correct, and driving a fix for issues will be important.
You will be great at stakeholder management, but also demonstrate a resiliency, and a willingness to learn. Throughout you’ll be creating financial value, experiencing exposure to many of our products as well as BT as a whole.
You'll have the following responsibilities
Accountable for business engagement across a wide range of operational Customer facing Unit (CFU) stakeholders.
Has detailed understanding of one or more key product/contract areas and uses business assurance knowledge in discovery and investigative work, to carry out/support secondary controls, contract end-to-end assessments and risk and control reviews.
Uses understanding of the audit of processes and systems along with commercial insight to define and recommend new or amend appropriate coverage and controls, and ensure they are executed.
Carries out root cause analysis and root cause management as part of the Contract Assurance Centre of Excellence, working with various teams and relevant stakeholders
May be required to support Specialists in management of third party suppliers and interaction with auditors and regulatory authorities.
You'll have the following skills & experience
Mandatory:
Experience in analysing and summarising data from different sources
Demonstrable ability to engage stakeholders up to senior manager level to gain data, information and support for assurance projects and drive specific outcomes
Successfully manages and delivers complex pieces of assurance, issue resolution or risk mitigation work
Able to carry out root cause management to identify and then implement specific process/people/technology improvements with demonstrable results
Experience of using Continuous improvement techniques to deliver process changes within a team
Experience in supporting or managing a commercial contract
Experience in contract and/or commercial management
Preferred:
Telco experience in: business assurance, risk, compliance, network, business operations, audit or billing roles, contract management
Business/Revenue Assurance industry experience
