“In the newly shaped architecture team we are looking for commercially and technically minded individuals to lead the business architecture mission in building our framework. The primary focus of this role is to understand the business motivations, operations and using frameworks to link these aspects of the enterprise together with DTAs goal of delivering value to Sky and its customers through data.

The Business Architect plays a key role in utilising the framework and collaborating with other architects to align decisions and advise on products, services, capabilities, and key business technology initiatives to connect strategy with operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in defining the set of strategic, core and support capabilities that go beyond functional and organisational boundaries.

• Describe and capture the business functions, capabilities and services of the enterprise to identify and describe customers, suppliers, systems and information that interact with the business, and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.

• Work cohesively with Enterprise Architecture to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using repeatable approaches, unified frameworks, and available industry standard techniques.

• Be the bridge between business and technology, develop and maintain capability maps, business value chains, business blueprints and business architecture playbooks.

• Contribute to aligning business roadmaps against technical roadmaps (Architecture, Engineering, OPs) while relentlessly focussing on delivering DTA KPIs and champion working in an agile environment.

• Collaborate in taking business leaders on a journey that enables them to understand the connections and complexities of the organisation with technology to achieve their business goals and objectives.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience within a Business Architecture domain, demonstrating great stakeholder management, good business acumen and ability to link strategy objectives with technology investments.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organisation; this includes written and verbal as well as visualisations. Experience presenting up to Director level.

• Experiencing delivering business architecture. Be familiar with the TOGAF framework and how business architecture can drive and affect change with support of frameworks and models.

• Experience of thought leadership in new areas, the application of new knowledge to a practical problem where you will create and drive direction, especially where there is no obvious path.

• Experience of working with a wide range of data sets (customer, sales, interactions, campaigns, upgrades/downgrades, churn etc), with the ability to trace data lineage.

• Value in thinking, being curious, asking questions, framing challenges, figuring out connections, creating persuasive narratives and being confident.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon.

Livingston Watermark House:
