The opportunity

Right now, we have a temporary full-time opportunity until June 2024 for a Business Analyst to join our team within our Supplier Assurance & Engagement Branch, Safety, Environment, and Regulation (SER) –Division. 

The role assists with providing analysis and documenting business processes, systems, and other functional requirements to facilitate improvement and support the efficient delivery of business operations and performance in line with strategic objectives and key business priorities.

What you will be involved in

• Develop analysis of high-level business requirements and identify opportunities, risks or issues
• Conduct investigative work to identify appropriate and practical solutions, meeting the needs of the business and aligning to industry standards while ensuring that the team can deliver outcomes identified
• Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs to support informed decision-making and planning
• Develop a deep understanding of our business partners' needs and design and conduct research and analyse options concerning business cases and deliverables to guide optimal decision making
• Keep across strategic objectives and ensure initiatives support delivery
• Work cooperatively within a team, managing multiple work streams while producing successful results.
• Manage key business stakeholder expectations and provide information in a simple business context
• Prepare and present solutions to customer requirements and assist customers in finding a better solution for their requirements.

About you

You are a passionate business analyst looking for an opportunity to drive impactful change that better the lives of the NSW community. You are required to have relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent industry experience. 

Demonstrated experience in performing business analysis for large and complex projects is essential. You also have highly developed data analytics skills and proficient internal and external stakeholder management skills. 

You will be required to understand technical writing requirements, data requirements, produce analytic reports, have proficient IT skills, proficiency in data modelling, SQL skills, including a curiosity in data insights. 

Salary and Benefits
