An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Identity and Authentication Lab which has recently been mobilised to provide a centralised Authentication platform as a service. Developed to meet the Strong Customer Authentication regulatory commitments, the platform uses innovative technologies that is not just the bank of the future, but industry trailblazing. Authenticators such as AppSign, Call Challenge, Behavioural Biometrics, Strong ID, Card and Reader use the newest technologies across desktop, mobile, cloud, machine learning, Microservices etc.

The Authentication platform is the front door to the bank; whether customers are logging on, making a payment, changing personal details, or shopping online, this platform and the colleagues building and running it will ensure a positive and secure customer experience whilst providing assurance that their money is safe.

As a Business Analyst, within a feature team you'll work with business and IT partners at all levels. Key to this role is the ability to work autonomously, holistically, and critically assess situations and solutions. The pace and scale of change taking place requires a passion for new thinking, new ideas, and continuous improvement, as well as a flexible approach when interacting with wider teams.

  • Bringing to life your banking experience to help frame, create and build innovative services in line with the Lab's vision

What we’d like to see from you

Essential:

  • Has demonstrable skills in business analysis, methodologies, and techniques
  • Proficient in Agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban and good working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
  • Modelling - develop, define & document ‘As Is’ & ‘To Be’ process models and data definitions
  • Exposure to defining non-functional requirements and writing technical specifications, performing data analysis, and assisting in root cause analysis, as well as experience analysing and presenting data and identifying trends
  • An understanding of engineering concepts including Microservices, APIs, databases, JSON, cloud etc
  • Knowledge of testing methods including BDD, TDD and A/B

We’re keen on someone that can pick new domain areas up with speed due to the wide scope of the team; has some knowledge and understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP); and experience working closely with engineers, ability to converse in their language and exposure to systems thinking, business architecture and agile change delivery.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to subject areas such as banking, digital, governance, compliance
  • Have a very good understanding of back-end, web, and mobile app technology
  • Strong technical skills including SQL, Open API (Swagger or other)
  • Understanding of DevOps concept and hands on experience of Route To Live (RTL) activities and knowledge of cloud-based services

We’d welcome someone that is currently undertaking one of the following certifications BCS Business Analysis, SAFe, GCP and/or Fraud Prevention and Authentication
