The Role

As a Business Analyst you will work as part of Group Transformation collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to contribute to the successful delivery of TalkTalk’s One Plan strategic priorities. This is a key role which drives business and process changes ranging from new product development to major business transformations. The BA will:

  

·         Be responsible for shaping and defining business requirements in both waterfall and agile deliveries.

·         Build effective partnerships across TalkTalk’s Business & Technology teams who depend on successful delivery.

·         Be accountable for analysis delivery on projects, programmes and change initiatives.

·         Have proven experience of analysis delivery, with the ability to develop a deep understanding and knowledge of TalkTalk functional areas.

·         Demonstrate their ability to work in cross functional change and work outside their knowledge domain.

·         Be customer focussed and being able to clearly articulate the needs of the business.


The Team

The Business Analyst role sits within Group Transformation, alongside Project Management and the Results Delivery Office

Together we take ownership of TalkTalk’s Business Change capability, leading transformation at TalkTalk and enabling delivery against our bold five-year plan.

The Business Analyst will report into the Lead Business Analyst within Group Transformation.

Delivery

  • Conduct analysis for both waterfall and agile deliveries, adapting approach to the appropriate methods as required.
  • Contribute to the shaping of projects and the outlining of problems and opportunities.
  • Define and manage scope, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for change initiatives.
  • Plan analysis work on projects in agreement with project teams.
  • Work in partnership with business teams to understand and map current state end-to-end customer journeys and business processes
  • Collaborate with business and technology delivery teams to analyse and define requirements, including non-functional requirements.
  • Adopt an outcome-based approach: focus on delivery outcomes that add value to the business opposed to detailed delivery outputs.
  • Drive analysis to identify the systems and process impacts arising from agreed business requirements and translate requirements into systems functional/behavioural models (e.g Use Cases, Screen Navigations etc)
  • Represent the business’ interests during the design and development processes to identify and agree solution options to meet business objectives/requirements.
  • Work with delivery teams to validate the value outcomes and ensure test strategies/cases match requirements
  • Work with business readiness teams to ensure impending changes are well understood for a successful implementation
  • Adhere to the Change Framework, Agile Delivery Framework, ISO:9001 and other compliance and security standards as required.

Stakeholder management

  • Facilitate input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements
  • Build a robust base of business and technology stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop an understanding of the needs of stakeholders from SME and up to Manager level
  • Engage stakeholders through effective communications.
  • Influence stakeholders to gain buy in to analysis approach & solutions.
  • Collect and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management. Help develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.
     

Commercial and strategic awareness

  • Build an understanding of the business environment and demonstrate an understanding of the key business metrics/ relevant to the project.
