Job Description

Purpose of the role:

Business Analyst with the Facilities Management team here at Norwest. You will be responsible for business partnering with key commercial stakeholders within the WFM team in providing analysis and insights to drive successful business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the financial month end process to ensure accuracy and alignment with operational results.
  • Provide monthly reporting and insights to WFM State Facilities Managers and State finance managers across select line items of the P&L with actionable insights as to key trends within states, zones or stores for areas of focus and improvement.
  • Assist with reporting and insights for WFM State Facilities Managers Overheads.
  • Help bring the numbers to life for business partners through understanding the nexus between operational actions and financial results in day to day and monthly state catch up sessions.
  • Partner with the WFM national support team to provide insights that will enable the development and refinement of strategic initiatives.
  • Support the Finance Manager / Senior Business Analyst - WFM with ad hoc analysis on key strategic projects, including developing and reviewing business cases.
  • Assist with preparation of forecasts and budgets for submission to Food Group including understanding as to the drivers for variance to budget and prior year. Considerations and appreciation for external cost rate drivers, volume changes, contract changes and new initiatives that will influence consumption variables.

 

About You
Proven business partnering skills with a strong desire to add value through analysis and insight.

Commitment to Woolworths ways of working, finance strategy and vision.
Previous experience in a financial role (strong commercial analytical experience preferred).
Familiarity with ERP systems and BI tools (SAP,  Excel, AFO, WBI, Google applications including GCP skills advantageous)
Flexible approach to meet critical deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Finance degree and CA/CPA qualified (or undertaking course)

High level of attention to detail

An inclination to be curious
