In Business Services we deliver high quality back-office service and technology solutions across Finance, People, Contact Centres and Procurement. In parallel we are building Automation and Data Science capabilities to deliver digital and advanced data solutions into the ASDA business. Our Business Analysts play a key part in our plans, acting as an intermediary between business partners and our technical teams, understanding their problems and matching solutions to these.

Your Role

As a Business Analyst, you would be responsible for engaging and collaborating across multiple business functions and levels to identify business needs and match them to potential solutions. You will translate those business needs into clearly articulated problem statements and requirements, including customer journey mapping. You will be responsible for creating prototypes and innovative solutions, then presenting findings and proposed outcomes to stakeholders. You will define and execute test cases, pro-actively research new techniques and best practices within the industry and you will contribute to the on-going development of business analysis techniques within ASDA.

About You  

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person: You'll have established business or process analysis skills and experience, ideally in a similar dynamic fast paced environment, with a deep understanding of business processes and digital technologies. You will also have exceptional business engagement and communications skills, with the ability to identify unarticulated business needs and coordinate between groups to address these.  

 

  • One of:  Bachelor of Technology; Business Process Management Certification; Certified Business Analysis Professional; LEAN Six Sigma qualified (Green Belt)  
  • Business and Process Analysis experience  within an Agile environment
  • Experience in converting business and functional requirements into functional use cases, epics and user stories  
  • Demonstrated ability to measure and communicate project benefits  
  • Strong risk assessment, problem resolution, negotiation and influencing skills
