About this role

Openreach has a exciting new opportunity for a Brand Marketing Executive to join our London Head Office on a permanent basis with hybrid onsite working. This role sits within the Brand and Marketing sub-team within Brand and Digital, and is responsible for supporting our colleagues, agencies and third parties to produce collateral and content that is consistent with the Openreach brand guidelines and principles. 

The role holder will build the brand identity and will also be responsible for governing how we represent the brand both internally and externally. In its simplest form, it is the set of associations people make when they see, hear or think of our organisation or products. A successful, consistent brand will promote recognition and will help set us apart from our competition.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Responsible for creative consultation/sign off and governance of all communications across all channels and touchpoints. External, internal, events, stakeholder and recruitment

• Responsible for developing and delivering our new brand identity as part of the new brand strategy implementation plan

• Manage the Brand Helpdesk and help the business with Openreach brand design requests. This could stem from updating collateral, producing new content, providing copy for an internal or external touchpoint and maintain and update the brand guidelines ensuring the brand site is regularly reviewed and updated with the latest assets

• You’ll be the go-to brand guardian for advice on what our brands look and sound like for all customer touchpoints – from internal comms collateral to above the line advertising. You will be responsible for branded consistency and integration across all business areas in Openreach

• Monitor brand awareness and trends through the quarterly Brand Tracker research programme and share results with senior stakeholders

• Setting-up and rigorously managing the brand governance processes, ensuring that we are always in-line with the brand guidelines and brand principles

• Organise any brand guideline training sessions for internal teams and agencies when required and building strong relationships with all parts of the business

You'll have the following skills & experience

• An understanding of the Openreach brand and the creative process

• Experience of brand development and applying visual identity and tone of voice across a range of channels

• Stakeholder management and experience of working with creative agencies, partners and suppliers – both internal and external

• Strong communication skills – written and verbal

• Collaboration and relationship management 

• Confident in making decisions and proactively seeking solutions

• Self-motivated and ability to handle multiple projects and prioritises efficiently
