BMW UK, National Sales Company, Farnborough - Compliance Analyst - 13 Month Placement (July 2022)

What will you be doing?

• Support the Compliance Advice Team by generating advisory documentation and creating updates as and when required.
• Support the creation of the management information and committee packs.
• Support the breach management process.
• Own the horizon scanning process.
• Own the process to ensure all consultation papers are fed back to the FCA.
• Own the Compliance mailbox to ensure our internal customers are getting the timely support they need.
• Keep up to date the action tracking for committees, internal audit findings and external reviews.
• Be open to cross skilling in financial crime and AML, and data protection to support at times of need.
• Consistently challenging the way processes are operated in order to generate more value and efficiencies. Identifying solutions to issues and guiding business partners to find the support they need in compliance queries.
• Frequent communication to internal stakeholders to generate management reporting, challenge the reasons given and chase for updates as and when required. Support the business to obtain the compliance advice they need.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a Bachelor's Law Degree or similar (preferably on target for a 2:1 or above).
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – ideally Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Strong numeracy and literacy with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• A self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative.
• An outgoing personality is key as you’ll be expected to interact and network with all areas of the business both within the National Sales Companies in the UK and Ireland and also our colleagues in the wider BMW Group UK.
• Enthusiastic and passionate to succeed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Independent and curious to learn more about the business.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
