The Role
In this exciting role you will be a key member of the payroll department, and responsible for the bi-weekly payroll process, year end, and compliance with Canadian payroll regulations.
- Process multi provincial bi-weekly hourly and salary payroll for over 2,500 employees
- Close payroll including payroll entries and reporting while identifying and correcting any errors
- Troubleshoot payroll inquiries while providing excellent customer service
- Complete year end payroll reconciliation including complete T4, T4A and issue to all employees within the calendar year
- Monthly payroll tasks as necessary, such as payroll GL inquiries from Finance and governance requests
Requirements
About You
- Must be fluent in both French and English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Exceptional communication skills and customer service centric attitude
- 3+ years of experience in full cycle payroll - salary, hourly, union etc
- Experience with multi provincial payroll, Quebec among these
- HRIS knowledge with Workday experience an asset
