What you'll create and do
As a leader in PwC’s Behavioural Insights practice, you'll regularly partner with other parts of our business to support clients in applying behavioural science across industries (e.g. insurance, retail) and problem spaces (e.g. customer experience, employee experience, marketing, product development). You’ll lead teams conducting qualitative and quantitative research, present the insights from your research and assist decision makers in applying them, and be called upon to invent solutions that apply those insights to solve real world problems.
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing 1-3 client engagement teams, with workstreams such as:
Conducting a behavioural diagnostic of a digital product or platform
Designing and analyzing survey data that supports customer segmentation
Partnering with strategists and designers to develop new value propositions that incorporate behaviourally informed design principles
Developing interventions to support employee adoption of a new technology
Running experiments (e.g. A/B testing, RCT) to test the effectiveness of a proposed intervention (e.g. new feature, communication design)​
Leading team members in the development of new ways to apply behavioural science to address pressing client problems.
Mentoring junior team members and serving as a subject matter expert for others in the firm
Taking a leadership role in key business development activities, such as project managing a proposal response or the development of a POV / thought leadership piece.
What you'll bring to this role
Desired experience includes, but is not limited to: designing and deploying experiments, conducting A/B tests, developing segmentation models and profiles, building psychometric surveys, conducting customer insights research, concept prototyping, organizational change management, operating model development / implementation.
An advanced degree (MSc / PhD) in psychology, behavioural economics, or a related discipline. Or equivalent experience working in an applied behavioural science role.
Ability to understand client needs and develop project plans (e.g. activities, deliverables, resourcing) that will meet those needs effectively.
Ability to develop a storyboard / high level outline of a deliverable or proposal and lead a team of junior resources in turning it into a reality.
The ability to manage one to three project teams and coordinate effectively with the client, project leadership, and other parts of the project team.
A strong initiative and ability to navigate ambiguity and complex stakeholder environments
Have or able to obtain federal government security clearance
Experience in client-facing roles (e.g. sales) and previous project-based leadership experience would both be an asset in this role
