Azure for Operators  - Support Marketing Manager

 The Azure for Operators team, part of the Worldwide Azure Product Group, is accountable for leveraging deep industry and technical expertise to enable sales teams and partners to deliver relevant, customized industry solutions and services, built on a secure, integrated cloud platform, to empower our customers to digitally transform their businesses. It’s no longer just about one simple software solution; it’s about creating a connected, secure, efficient, and scalable digital ecosystem. We are helping mobile operators take advantage of the innovation unleashed by the introduction of technologies such as 5G, Software Defined Networking / Network Function Virtualization, Edge Compute and the next generation Internet of Things.   

In this Business Program Manager / Product Marketing role, you will lead the global strategy for Azure for Operators (A4O) support offerings. You will be responsible for optimising Support revenue across the Azure for Operator business; reporting into global Support organization but partnering with key stakeholders in the Product Management, Sales & Delivery functions.  

 

Responsibilities

Core activities: 

  • Use market research, insights from our internal stakeholders and customer feedback to develop a deep understanding of the needs of the global customer base with respect to technical support 
  • Develop the Azure for Operator Support value proposition, marketing material and other collateral to meet those technical support needs 
  • Support and hold sales accountable for capturing support value in the sales cycle; help manage deal scope to optimise Support contribution margin  
  • Support the Sales team to ensure we capture maximum value on customer renewals 
  • Help negotiate 3rd party support renewals to manage costs and improve contribution margin 
  • Closely collaborate with Product Management, Sales and Delivery organizations to build a profitable, relevant, consistent, scalable healthy business and customer experience across markets 
  • Report financial outcomes for Support to the Azure for Operators Leadership Team. 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Product and business strategy skills and experience relevant to the role 
  • Previous experience in program management in a global technical support space  
  • Previous experience collaborating with global sales teams 
  • Proven effectiveness driving multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross-team programs to deliver desired financial results 
  • Excellent skills in all aspects of communications, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail 
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations and drive for clarity  
  • Excellent written and oral communication   
  • Proven record for execution with measurable results – focused on delivering impact
  • Desirable but not a pre-requisite - MBA/ master's in business related curriculum
