We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to get into specialised brake servicing and hydraulic component reconditioning in particular! You do not have to be a qualified Automotive Technician but this opportunity would really suit someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who is good at tackling a wide variety of mechanical challenges. For over 70 years Safe R Brakes has been the leading specialised brake workshop and parts supplier in Christchurch. From our central city premises, we service the Christchurch and Canterbury area. Our workshop offers customers top quality repairs and has an excellent and well-earned reputation. Passenger cars, enthusiast’s cars, trailers and light commercials are all catered for. Our Spare Parts and Operations Divisions provide a wide range of specialised brake parts and services.

The position available is in the hydraulic servicing department of our Operations Division and would suit someone who has a mechanical aptitude and is keen to learn. A passion for the automotive industry is highly desirable as you will be working alongside our experienced staff as part of the team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Work as part of our team servicing and reconditioning brake hydraulic components. This includes master and wheel cylinders, calipers, boosters.
• Assist carrying out other types of servicing. This may include areas such as ABS repairs, disc and drum machining, shoe bonding, repair and rebuild of cables etc.
• Provide information and advice to customers. Ensure a positive customer experience.
• Hours of work are Monday to Friday at our premises in Fitzgerald Aveenue.
