G4S now have an exciting opportunity for an AutoCAD Operator to join our team located around our Somerset site (Hinkley point) with the potential to work remotely.

As a AutoCAD operator you will be Responsible for the production and update of Drawings and Project Documentation for the supply/installation/commissioning/maintenance of security systems primarily at Hinkley Point C, Somerset, but also potentially other large projects around the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring accurate and timely production of drawings and documentation.
• Managing design, project and as installed documentation.
• Assisting site based operations with planning, project control and project delivery from a design perspective.
• Effectively collaborate with the internal System Design Manager and site based team.
• Produce & update post installation Project documentation.
• Producing project drawings for any security related infrastructure on the HPC construction site.
• Ensuring all drawings are completed and maintained accurately in line with all applicable policies and procedures.
• Ensuring all design documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Efficient communication with the HPC document control team and management of the document control platform workflows.
• Creation and management of protectively marked documents.
• Adherence to Company’s policies and procedures.
• Presenting a professional image at all times.
• Supporting Sales and Operations in the field when necessary.

The ideal candidate:

• At least 12 months experience in a CAD / Drawing office environment
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Document Control Platforms
• Able to multi task and set clear priorities
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• High attention to detail
• Able to work within a team environment
• Enthusiastic with a real ability to learn
• 5 Year checkable work history or evidence to support any period of unemployment, self- employment or time spent in fulltime education
• Right to work unrestricted in the UK/EU
• UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 Penalty Points

Desirable:

• Knowledge of electronic security systems
• knowledge of electrical installation works or similar
• knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Good level of customer service and customer liaison skills
• Experience in a nuclear regulated environment
• Experience of designing security systems in a construction environment
• Previous or current clearance to SC level
